Characteristics of Mixed Porus Asphalt with Combination of LDPE, CPO and PEN 60/70

The quality of the road depends on pavement, drainage conditions, and materials. For this reason, it is necessary to make innovations in improving one which increasing material. There are many types pavements, porous asphalt pavement. Porous has cavities that easy for water pass but a low stability value with high permeability. This research will utilize Low Density Poly Ethylene (LDPE), as an additive, CPO, Pen 60/70 mixture. purpose study was determine characteristics mixture by substituting LDPE CPO 60/70. method used analyzing refers specifications Australis Asphalt Pavement Association (AAPA) (2014), parameters Camtabro Loss (CL), Flow Down (AFD), VIM, flow. gradation open gradation. started from determining Optimum Content (KAO), two variations, namely Variation 1 (1% LDPE, 10% 89% pen 60/70), variation 2 (5% 85% Pens 60/70). KAO 5.03% second 4.75%. After obtaining value, substituted. test results CL values were 34.12% 27.07%, respectively; AFD 0.13% 0.12%; VIM 14.90% 19.03%; 603.24 kg 603.19 kg; flow 5.03 mm 4.80 mm. In general, obtained meets required requirements. However, durability did not meet requirements, 60.15% 48.22%, condition >90%.
